Notes
How to use it
- 1. Write the order first. Names and jersey numbers down the left, built from the kids actually at the park.
- 2. Pitcher and catcher, inning by inning. Those two spots decide the rest of the defense.
- 3. Fill infield, then outfield. Give the infield innings to whoever has had the fewest so far. The field positions guide covers the numbering.
- 4. Mark the bench column. Nobody sits back-to-back innings, and nobody sits twice until everyone has sat once.
Doing this by hand every week is where the fairness slips, because you cannot remember who played shortstop three games ago. Our filled-in dugout card is built from season totals, and the batting lineup guide explains how the order should move.
Common questions
- Is this baseball lineup template really free?
- Yes. Print as many blank sheets as you want, no account and no sign-up. If you would rather have the card already filled in from your roster, that is what LineupBud does, and your first team is free.
- How do I save the template as a PDF?
- Click Print, then choose Save as PDF as the destination instead of a printer. The sheet is sized for US Letter in portrait.
- How many innings does the blank sheet cover?
- Six innings and fourteen roster lines, which covers most Little League divisions. Cross out the columns and rows you do not need.
